Hi, I’m Ally Rouse
As a Willimantic native, a Windham High 2014 alumni, and a community farmer I want to bring something to your table. My work in farming started in my moms garden and ever since then I’ve had a connection to the Earth. I grabbed my gloves and got to work. It was then I pursued an Environmental Studies degree with a minor in Sustainability Studies, to support my goals in ethical growing.
I want to bring produce to your table, the way it was meant to be grown, in the community- with our neighbors. My experience in farming stems from firstly working with certified organic microgreens for upscale restaurants in NY, there I learned harvest managing and packing. It showed me what efficient and well managed farming looked like. Following that I worked in regenerative agriculture in NJ, that taught me to make sure all my ducks were in a row!
I landed back in CT in 2020 where I cared for greenhouse fruit trees, flowers and other plant varieties in retail. Soon after, managed a vegetable farm under a Non-profit. Now, It’s my time to build a farm, aimed at my communities desires. I want my 40 acres and a mule!
My Approach
Let’s take a seat at the table and talk. What are you eating? What is hitting the cutting board and feeding your people? How can we work together? Let’s rediscover community with regenerative agriculture.
Dream it
I would love to have a neighborhood farm where the food is good for you and the people who work with us are taken care of.
Build it
With the help from the community we can feed the people who are underserved in this neighborhood. We deserve quality food, local produce, and ethically grown agriculture.
